About think: orna(mental)

This blog is my research project for my History of Design class at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca, Spring 2012. The design focuses (mainly) on the use of ornamentation of graphic design.

I noticed there were other blogs that touched on this issue that were of an academic nature and catered more for  a graphic design familiar audience. My intention for this blog is to “inform and delight“. (“Delight” is probably pushing it though).

It’s a brief exploration on ornamentation within contemporary design and the history of ornamentation in graphic design. It is by no means complete – it’s pretty bare actually. But hopefully, this is a handy resource for some interested in the topic & fairly accessible to a non-graphic design audience as well!

Viva le ornament!
